There will be plenty of bears about at a special Amazona Zoo event.
The Cromer zoo, which is home to more than 200 tropical animals native to South America, is hosting a teddy bears’ picnic on Saturday, June 23 to mark its 10th anniversary.
The theme is a nod to Paddington Bear, who originates from ‘deepest darkest Peru’, and visitors are encouraged to bring their own plush teddys to join in.
As well as animals including jaguars, pumas, ocelots, monkeys, snakes, caimans, the zoo also has a well-equipped indoor play area called Jungle Tumbles, and an extensive outdoor area which youngsters can explore called Rainforest Springs.
New attractions at the zoo this year include two large outdoor jumping pillows for children, a tarantula spider house and a guinea pig village.
The event will run from 10am to 5pm.
