Walkers showed how passionate they are about their hobby at a national get-together.

Sixty delegates from the Walkers are Welcome network of towns and villages across the country came to Cromer for a packed itinerary showing off the best of the area.

Over the weekend there were informal and organised walks. Martin Warren led people on a geology walk and Rob Spray told of the unique chalk reef, while Tim Bennett took people around Overstrand, Malcolm English gave them a photography walk of the town, and Alan Tutt revealed Cromer’s war history.

The objective for Walk Cromer, the organising team, was for delegates to take home the message that the north Norfolk town was worth the journey.

The group’s Gemma Harrison said: “All the feedback suggests delegates will be returning to Cromer, and will be recommending the town to friends and colleagues.”

Anyone wishing to join Walk Cromer should contact Gemma at gemma@walkcromer.co.uk.
