Still time to enter North Norfolk Business Awards

The closing date is approaching in the inaugural North Norfolk District Council Business Awards – and businesses across the district are being encouraged to put themselves forward to win one of the prestigious titles.
The awards (#NNBA18), run in conjunction with the North Norfolk News and Fakenham & Wells Times, are open to businesses across all sectors.
The aim is to promote and celebrate the vibrant business community across North Norfolk, and to unearth some hidden gems during the process.
There are seven categories: Agricultural, Business Growth, Business Development & Innovation, Environmental, New Businesses, Tourism & Hospitality, and Young People & Skills.
Entries can be submitted until January 15, with the shortlisted businesses invited to an awards ceremony at Gresham’s School next month.
Councillor Tom FitzPatrick, leader of North Norfolk District Council, said: “This project is giving the district as a whole the chance to celebrate the vibrancy of our business community. I’m delighted to say that we’ve had a very good response so far – but there is still time to get your entry in.”
Councillor Nigel Dixon, NNDC Portfolio Holder for Business and Economic Development, said: “These awards are designed to be relevant across all sectors, and I would encourage any business that has yet to submit an entry to do so.
“The entry process is easy and it costs nothing other than a few minutes of your time to make a submission.”
As well as the North Norfolk News and Fakenham and Wells Times, Start&Grow has joined the list of partners for the awards. They are also being supported by Anglian Water, Eastlaw, New Anglia LEP and Norfolk Hideaways.
The awards night will be hosted by Chris Sargisson, chief executive of Norfolk Chamber of Commerce.
He said: “Norfolk businesses are in great shape and many lead the world within their chosen field by demonstrating the key attributes needed for success: dynamism, creativity and resilience, to name just a few.
“The future and growth of the economy across the county – including in north Norfolk – is centred on recognising brilliance, supporting the region as a place where success thrives and, most importantly, celebrating the best.”
