A lone sailor was rescued after his yacht was found drifting in the North Sea, 19 miles from land.
Cromer's Lifeboat was launched just before 7am on Wednesday morning after the sailor put out a call for help.
Billy Gaff, deputy launching authority, said the man had been on his way from Ipswich to Scotland when he found himself adrift and out of fuel.
Mr Gaff said: "There was a yacht with one man on board who needed help about 19 miles north-east of Cromer. Cromer crew launched, and they put one crewman on board to help the chap, who was very tired.
"Then they towed it towards Lowestoft."
Lowestfoft's lifeboat met the two vessels off Happisburgh, and took over towing the sailing boat to the Port of Lowesoft.
Mr Gaff added: "I think he's been out for around 40 hours and he'd run out of diesel as well for his engines."
