Organisers made the announcement on Wednesday evening, after they received confirmation from the RAF acrobatic team.

On their Facebook page, Cromer Carnival organisers said: “We have received some very exciting news, here at Cromer Carnival.

“The letter arrived today, confirming our bid has been successful, which means that the RAF Red Arrows will be flying at Cromer Carnival on Wednesday, August 15 2018.”

The time of their arrival is yet to be confirmed, but it means the famous aerial display team will be returning to the carnival where they have been regular attractions since 1980.
