Our Enjoy Cromer More site has gone from strength to strength, and thanks to the support of the local community the platform has had another record breaking month.
More than 8,000 users visited the Cromer specific site in January 2018 alone, to read local news written by both the team at the North Norfolk news, and the residents and businesses in town.
Our facebook members have enjoyed reading the good news coming out of Cromer, as well as joining in the threads started by members and reporters alike.
One of our members Frances Clipsom wrote: “I’ve had such a giggle reading through people’s posts this morning, lovely start to my day. Thank you everyone for your humour.”
Editor of the North Norfolk News, Adam Lazzari, said: “I think this is exactly what everyone needs, to log onto Facebook or our site and to know that whatever day of the week it is, we’ll always have a story to make you smile.”
He added: “What’s been truly fantastic is seeing the audience put themselves in charge of the conversation. This is a site for the community, it’s for them to own and have their own discussions, so it’s been great to see it put to use.”
Another feature of the site we’re seeing used more and more is the ‘Tell Us Your Story’ feature.
Business owners are taking it upon themselves to share their news and updates with their customers, be it to inform the town of a refurbishment or to launch a new product or service.
Mr Lazzari continued: “This is a space for businesses to promote themselves both in the paper and online. But what’s more as soon as a business posts an update, their customers comment and champion them. It’s not just the owners celebrating what they’ve got going on, it’s their supporters too.”
Given the site’s reach we’d love to see more businesses, clubs and individuals showcasing the fantastic work they’re doing in Cromer, you simply need to visit ‘Tell Us Your Story’ and submit your piece.
