Pupils at Cromer Junior School have celebrated the anniversary of a breakfast club launched five years ago to ensure youngsters get a healthy and happy start to the day.
At a special Easter-themed breakfast, 65 club members and guests tucked in to low sugar cereals, porridge and bagels, as well as hot cross buns and cornflake nests.
Club members also made invitations and posters, with table decorations including knitted carrots, felt eggs and pom pom chicks.
Part of the National Schools Breakfast Programme, the club, which is free to all pupils, offers year-round healthy food donated by Morrisons, Cromer.
Thanking guest of honour Simon Clipsom, who is the Cromer Road store’s community champion, deputy head teacher Suzanne Ashpole said: “Breakfast has long been said to be the most important meal of the day and skipping breakfast can lead to exhaustion, extreme hunger and lack of focus.”
