Updates from Cromer Town Council after another successful annual town meeting

The Annual Town Meeting was held at 7.00pm on Wednesday 14th March 2018 at Cromer Parish Hall.

Mayor of Cromer, Cllr. John Frosdick welcomed everyone to the meeting, introduced various representatives and gave a special presentation to Maisy, who had created and sent in a fireworks picture to Cromer Town Council.

As part of her prize, Maisy has been invited to push the button to start the 2019 New Years Day fireworks display and a new Children’s Colouring Competition will be launched.

Guest speakers were Hamish Grice MRICS, Chartered Surveyor for Cliveden Conservation who gave a talk and presentation on the work currently being undertaken to restore Cromer War Memorial and John Boisson, County Chairman (Norfolk) of the Royal British Legion, who also gave a talk and presentation on the work of the Royal British Legion in the Cromer area.

Presentations of cheques were made to recipients of the 2018 grants from the New Year’s Day Fireworks bucket collections.

Presentations of prizes were made by Will Evans from Titanium Fireworks Limited and Brenda Skinner from Hughes Electrical, to the winners of the 2018 New Years Day Fireworks Photography Competition.

Cromer Honours Awards were presented by Mayor of Cromer, Cllr. John Frosdick, to John Davies and John Cooper.

Cllr. John Frosdick also presented the Mayor’s Awards to the Cromer Methodist Church Community Café at Cromer Methodist Church and Cromer Christmas Lights Volunteers, for all of their hard work for the town and read out the 2017 Roll of Honour from the town Memory Book, before closing the meeting.
