Amateur photographers have until the end of the week to send in their snaps that “capture the spirit” of the 2018 New Year’s Day fireworks display at Cromer Pier.

The competition, which is running for the fifth year, is open to all amateur photographers and the winner will have their winning photograph turned into the official poster for the 2019 New Year’s Day event. It will also be used in other promotional material.

They will also win a 43 inch HD Smart TV, courtesy of electrical retailer Hughes Electrical.

Chairman of the fireworks committee Jim Bond said: “Every year we see hundreds of fabulous photographs of the event in the press and online. We thought it would be great to continue the photography competition to inspire more people. We are looking for photographs that really capture the spirit of the event.”

The competition entry deadline is midday on Friday 19 January 2018 with the winner announced at the Annual Town Meeting on 14 March 2018. For competition rules visit the Cromer Town Council website.
