Cromer wouldn’t be the same without it’s rich history with crabbing and all things nautical.

So after a picture of a proper wooden crabbing boat was published to Enjoy Cromer More, members joined the conversation to reminisce about their memories of crabbing crews.

Roger Foster wrote: “Lovely boats. Heavy to handle up the beach. Heavy old Skeets to run on. We carried many of them when we were younger. None of this every boat has its own trailer!”

Freda Laurence added: “Lots of memories there seeing that boat.”

So we pulled together some of our favourite archive photos of North Norfolk crabbers going about their business, for you to enjoy.
