Money raised through collections at last year's Cromer Carnival will go to buy 100 'worry eater purses' for bereaved children.

A cheque for £1,000 was presented to Nelson’s Journey for the purses when Duncan Green, from the charity, went to the annual Cromer Carnival helpers’ meeting.

Mr Green also gave a presentation outlining the aims of Nelson’s Journey, which supports children and young people up to their 18th birthday who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life.

Bereaved children can write down their worries and concerns and put them in their purse.

When a particular worry has gone a way it can be taken out and torn up.

This year’s Cromer Carnival runs from Saturday, August 11 to Friday, August 17. For more information about what’s on, visit www.cromercarnival.co.uk
