A full house at the annual bingo evening for Cromer Carnival has helped raise thousands of pounds for the carnival cause.
Organisers estimate six hundred people packed out the marquee on the Runton Road carnival site to take part in the bingo extravaganza on Tuesday evening.
More than a hundred people left with raffle prizes - donated by nearly 100 local businesses - or one of the bingo cash prizes amounting to £1,700.
The event was organised by Jim and Janice Woolston and Trevor and Valerie Pells. They have been organising the event in Cromer for more than twenty years.
This year’s raffle alone raised £1,322 with the profits of the bingo tickets expected to raise thousands more. Proceeds will be invested back into the carnival.
Organiser Janice Woolston thanked all of those who helped to make this year’s event a big success.
“A special thank you goes to the local businesses who donated prizes to the raffle, as well as the carnival team, the bar staff, door sellers, runners and checkers who all ensured it ran smoothly”.
