Groups and charities in Cromer, Sheringham and surrounds can have a go at getting a grant from the profits of this year’s Crab and Lobster Festival charity lighthouse auction.
The August 26 auction at Cromer Parish Hall raised £5,500, which will be handed out to organisations to pay for projects or work they wish to undertake.
A total of 83 lighthouses went under the hammer after having been displayed in the windows of businesses around the area over summer.
The biggest single sale was for a lighthouse made my Bob Crook, which featured a painting of Cromer’s lighthouse itself. It sold for £370.
