In her column this month, ELISHA HUDSON, who has been diagnosed with a brain tumour, updates us on her charity activities, and why she loves summer in Cromer.
It’s August which means it’s carnival, Cromer concerts and summer sun, my favourite time of the year!
Cromer is the town to be in this month so much fun things going on.
Well it’s been two months since I last updated you all with my column and a lot has happened. Who knew buying a house could take your mind off things for so long?
Saturday, May 19 was the Charity Spring Ball in aid of Brain Tumour Research which I promised I would update you all with the total figure. We raised a total of £1,249.
This was a fantastic achievement by all who donated, came to the ball and supported. A massive thank you goes out to Davies Fish Shop, Cromer for sponsoring the event. With this total and my online JustGiving total, so far, we raised £4,020.33 in aid of Brain Tumour Research.
Also not forgetting the amazing £1,000 that Mr Harrison (owner of Woodlands Holiday Park, Trimingham) donated straight to the charity.
Which brought it an amazing total £5,020.33 A big thank-you!
I’m looking to do my next fundraising event, and I would like to support an individual that needs the funds to specifically help them. This could be to help a little one’s dream to come true, or maybe to purchase equipment to help their day-to-day living.
If you know someone or a family that need some support, please get in contact.
Also, please remember I am now a qualified wedding and events planner so if you’ve got your wedding or event to plan and need some support, no matter how small or big, get in touch.
I hope everyone is enjoying August in Cromer - a month of summer happiness!
It’s a busy time of year for the town with lots of families on holiday, and still, the wonderful locals.
Business will all be at their best and keeping busy, I’m sure.
It’s so great to see such support for the town’s businesses. Keep smiling and supporting.
I hope you all have a wonderful few weeks of making memories of Cromer Carnival 2018.
I’ve spoken to a few people who always ask when my next column is out because they really enjoy reading it and keeping up to date with how I’m doing, which is lovely to hear because I really enjoy writing them every month.
My last scan results I had of Terry the Tumour was July 11, and I’m pleased to say it’s stable and still growing only slowly.
I will continue with six-monthly scans.
Once again, sorry it’s been a while but I’m back with my monthly columns!
