Anglian Combination pacesetters aiming to maintain perfect starts

The two sides with 100 per cent records in the top flight of the Hadley & Ottaway Anglian Combination will be hot favourites to go marching on today.

Leaders Harleston, with seven wins out of seven, will be aiming to put last week’s Norfolk Senior Cup defeat at Thetford Town behind them when they entertain Caister.

Fellow high-flyers Norwich Ceyms, who have six straight wins to their name, also have home advantage against mid-table opposition, with Hellesdon heading to Hilltops tomorrow.

Third placed Mulbarton Wanderers are at Stalham while Robert Taylor’s Acle United will be attempting to move off the bottom of the table when they host Wroxham’s second string.

There is a big match at the top of Division One, with leaders Sheringham travelling to second placed Hoveton Wherrymen, who have adapted superbly to a new challenge after promotion last season. The Shannocks lead the way by two points, having played one less game.
