Steve Terry has been announced as the headline act of the Cromer Pier Show, which will run from June 23 to September 8.

Mr Terry said he grew up laughing along to comedy greats such as Tommy Cooper and Bob Monkhouse, who inspired him to pursue a career on stage.

He said he was eagerly looking forward to the show.

Mr Terry said: “I would say that appearing here in Cromer for a summer season in the Cromer Pier Show will rank amongst the biggest achievements of my professional career”.

Mr Terry joins a strong cast in what is shaping up to be a thrilling summer show, which is the only one of its kind in the world.

Also performing will be ‘the man known as G’ - a zany comedy impersonator, and the Vaudevillian duo Zooka and Suzie Q.

A familiar face to fans of the show will be Emily Yarrow, who is back for her sixth season, as well as fellow singer Harvey James, who was last part of the line-up in 2007.

The glamorous Seaside Special Dancers and the youngsters from Marlene’s School of Dance will also take the stage. There will be two different versions of the show, which will be merged into an ‘Ultimate Cromer Pier Show’ later in the season.

This newspaper has joined forces with the show’s organisers to offer one lucky winner four adult tickets, which they can use at any single show during the summer season.
