Organisers are delighted with the response and said they still expected to receive more entries before the closing date of July 28.

Entries can also be accepted on the day, as long as they arrive by 11.30am.

Racing starts at 1pm with classes for 10–15-year olds, 16-18-year olds and adults.

This year’s three main sponsors all from the electronic industry spearheaded by GTK an international company based in Basingstoke, Hampshire, Westcotec Traffic Safety Systems based in Dereham, Seneye which makes water quality monitoring systems for fish tanks and ponds based in Norwich and Jewson, Cromer.

Entrants will compete for the Malcolm McGreadie Shield, for the fastest time, and there is also a Concourse de Elegance competition.
